Black Bakelite BROLITE Lever Handles

A pair of real Bakelite vintage style Dudok Art Deco door handles with rectangular back plates This plain lever handle is exceptionally comfortable to the hand.
Pairs of handles or knobs are complete with a 5/16″ (7.9mm) square spindle so they should fit some old locks as well as new ones. You may have a 7.6mm spindle in the old lock, in which case the square hole in the lock can be filed out to 7.9mm with a sharp square file. The necessary slotted grub screws for the spindle and slotted wood screws for the plates are also supplied.
The back-plate is number 6068 and the DUDOK lever is No 6207.

All our BROLITE real Bakelite pieces have been modelled on original designs from early to mid-20th century. The door knobs & handles are interchangeable on all the Brolite backplates, so you can order the parts individually if necessary.

Please note: these handles/knobs are unsprung – just like the originals – and so require some help to return them to a horizontal position. You will therefore need to ensure that the latch or lock used has sufficient spring capacity.
