Black Bakelite Bathroom Zig-Zag Door Knobs

This set is converted for use with a bathroom sash lock and a Thumb turn which can be purchased separately in the Bath / WC Locks / HD Latches section of the website. Please allow a few extra days to be converted, as these are done in our workshop, not held in stock.

All our BROLITE real Bakelite pieces are based on original designs from early to mid-20th century and unusually, all our door knobs & handles are interchangeable on all of our Bakelite back-plates. A luxury which gives a huge number of combinations to choose from. If you are unable to see the combination you are after, you can order the parts individually to make up your desired set.
At Reborn Bakelite, we offer some great combinations and here, we show a classic stepped Zig Zag knob with an Art Deco back-plate. (We also see the same design back-plate without the key-hole)
Pairs of handles or knobs are complete with a 5/16″ (7.9mm) square spindle so they should fit some old locks as well as new ones. You may have a 7.6mm spindle in the old lock, in which case the square hole in the lock can be filed out to 7.9mm with a sharp square file. The necessary slotted grub screws for the spindle and slotted wood screws for the plates are also supplied. The Deco back plate is No 6055C and the knob is No 6120, these parts can be purchased separately if required.
